On Thursday the 28th of November 24, WM Davie Hunter (pictured above congratulating our new brother) led an excellent ceremony of initiation for Ashley Francis. Our Master of the Mistley 2339 Lodge in Manningtree led it wonderfully, a couple of other past Masters helped out with their various specialities, WBro's Graham Jacobs and Alan Hodgson.
Ashley did really well and said that he really enjoyed the ceremony.

Both Jake Clarke (left) and David Elkin (right) passed through their next degree on the 31st of October 24, led by WM Davie Hunter (left and right!). It was an excellent ceremony enjoyed by all, and our Master of the Mistley 2339 Lodge in Manningtree led it wonderfully, one of our past Masters helped out with their various specialities, WBro Gary Duncan.
Both candidates did extremely well, and enjoyed the ceremony greatly.

On Thursday the 26th of September 24, WM Davie Hunter (pictured above congratulating our new brother) led the initiation of a newly joining Brother, Jack Clifford. It was an excellent ceremony, and our Master of the Mistley 2339 Lodge in Manningtree led it wonderfully, a couple of other past Masters helped out with their various specialities.
Jack did very well and enjoyed the ceremony greatly, he said he was very impressed regarding the amount of memorisation of ritual by the brethren!

W.Bro Jamie Robinson has presided over the lodge for the last year but 25th of April was his last night as Master. He made a great speech which included some of the great work this Masonic year....
"Over the year all our ceremonies have been live initiations, passings and raisings, which is proof of a vibrant lodge. We have had some great fundraising events during the year raising much needed funds for local and national charities of which we have donated £950.00 between them."

We got a lovely thank you from the Acorn Village charity for our donation of £200 this month. Worshipful Brother John Parker PPJGD presented the cheque to Phil Wilden, the Creative Craft Centre Manager.
In 2022 the Masons in Manningtree donated over £3,000 to charity, with £700 to the Turkey / Syria earthquake fund, as well as further donations to the local community, with £250 going to the food bank, and £500 to Highfield Primary School.
Anthony Wilde received his 2nd Degree initiation tonight, conducted by W.Bro. Jerry Watsham, PPGSwdB who was standing in for our master W.Bro John Pipe for the evening. The WM thanked Bro. Oliver Acres for his participation in the ceremony and W.Bro. Keith Ralph for his marvellous presentation of parts of Masonic history.

We welcomed a new brother to Mistley Lodge today, James Spear successfully went through his first degree initiation at the Lodge in Manningtree, overseen by Worshipful Brother Alan Hodgson, PPAGDC who was standing in for our master.

Mistley Lodge meets regularly on a Monday evening to practice the ceremonies that make up Freemasonry, and to learn from each other. It is an informal session in casual clothing! You can see our Senior Warden and the Master of our lodge in the back row.
History of Mistley Lodge to be added. Mistley Lodge was formed in 1889 and has an interesting history.
